NIH Animal Center

In 1960 the National Institutes of Health (NIH) purchased a 513-acre farm
near Poolesville, Maryland.

This is a secret facility. Though NIH grant information is supposed to be included on the CRISP data base, no research conducted at this facility is included. Recently, all the internet links to this facility were closed following a post to the animal rights list serv, AR-News. The post was a link to a page describing a new portable brain probe apparatus bolted into permanent place on monkeys' heads designed and tested at this facility.
